Grafenrheinfeld NPP
Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant is located in the rural district of Schweinfurt, which forms part of the Lower Franconia region of Bavaria. It was commissioned in 1981.
Following Germany’s decision to phase out of nuclear energy, Grafenrheinfeld was shut down in 2015. It has since been in post operation. The operator has applied for the permit to shut down and dismantle the power plant.

Until it was shut down, the Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant generated a total of 333 billion kW/h of electricity which is enough to supply almost the whole of Bavaria with electricity constantly for four years.
