With more than 45 years’ experience in the construction and operation of nuclear power plants, our expertise is virtually unmatched. In Germany we operate Isar 2 [Bavaria] nuclear power plant with the highest degree of safety, right through to their very last day. Our every action is dictated by our commitment to protect people and the environment.

For decades, our nuclear power plants have impressed with their more than 90% availability and that is why they have led the field in international electricity production. For example, no other power plant in the world has produced more electricity than our Grohnde NPP with more than 400 billion kilowatt hours since starting operation. There is not a single NPP unit in the world that has generated more electricity.

This is not only the result of the high level of safety and careful maintenance of our plants but also reflects the great skill and motivation of our 2,000 employees.

The careful and meticulous dismantling of our plants is a task very close to our hearts. Demolition of the nuclear power plants at Stade [Lower Saxony] and Würgassen [North-Rhine Westphalia] is well advanced. These two projects have provided us with comprehensive experience in dismantling power reactors.

We will use our expertise for the running projects: Brokdorf (Schleswig-Holstein), Unterweser and Grohnde [Lower Saxony], Isar 1 and Grafenrheinfeld [Bavaria].

We understand that the nuclear power life-cycle spans generations. We are very familiar with the specifi c needs of our nuclear clients in each phase of nuclear energy utilization in new build, operation and decommissioning & dismantling.
